Power seat cable replacement 850

The driver's seatback of my 95 850 turbo stopped working. The motor runs but no movement. I've looked at bay13's proceedure and want to know how much time this job might take first time around. What about the side SRS in the seat? How do you disarm it?

Thanks

easy procedure, You can do one of two things. 1)clip the ties that hold the seatback and find the cable and take it out from the left side and take a 10mm socket and put it on and hammer it so it goes down and reinstall. 2) Get a new cable and do the same, clipping to get access to the seatback and removing the cable to install the new one. you choose, email me if you need help.

Thanks, I just wanted to know if I should plan for a whole afternoon or a couple of hours.

I'll use zipties.

it took me two hours, the cable housing is a tad to long, i pulled the inner cable out and clipe off about an 1/4" off the housing , than I took a grinder to the sqaure end of the cable to sqaure it up an grind off any stripped area,
I did use a light to soften the plastic housing to pull the end cap off,
its kind of like a bike brake cable.

put everthing back together and its worked great for months

good luck it is a dyi job for sure
