I'm due to replace the timing belt in a few months. It seems to me that at 105K, you might as well do the water pump and the tensioner at the same time because of the labor installed.
The dealer says not necessarily so. They seem to think hydraulic tensioner may go another 105K if it passes their inspection. It seems to me they are just being penny wise with parts and pound foolish with the labor necessary for the job.
Any thoughts? I'm going to do this myself. I have replaced several b230f timing belts.
Water pump recommendations? Who makes Volvo b5244 pumps?
Thanks, Tom
