Loose tailgate latch - driving me nuts V70-XC70 1999

The tailgate latch on my 99V70 is driving me crazy. It rattles while driving it sometimes does not latch completly when you close the tailgate, have to try it a couple of times to get it closed.

Anyone have a solution

I had a similar problem with 98 V70. I picked up the tailgate repair kit from IPD (www.ipdusa.com), and I was able to repair it in about an hour. Mine has been silent ever since.

The problem is the latch not the tailgate panel.
