Hello all,
My Check Engine light stays on my '98 V70 AWD and when I scanned it the message says: Secondary Injector Airflow. Just had a tune up, rotor cap, belt, wires, plugs, etc. Engine seem to run great. Does anyone know what this is all about? Appreciate any suggesgions.

    Hi Yes I've recently worked a great deal on this. Your air pump is probably filled with water (ours was and is shot!)... and or the Check valve is stuck. On our 98 I "just" changed all of this last week. I want to say I've just about licked this problem with the help from the volvospeed.com site (see BAY13 there's a great link to a site about this problem (P410 code) (Also see chiltons) . I'm still waiting to see if anyone can help me with the verification of the airpump since it wont run unless the engine is cold and mine won't anytime?

      I just want to thank you for directing me to the volvospeed.com site. I got lots of info and the diagrams I needed. It's right on. I'll let you know the results whenever I get a chance to work on it. Also, I've seen some messages in the forum about a faulty gas cap giving similar error messages. Did you come across them and what's your opinion?

      Thanks for the info. Hope you worked out your problem. I have to try and locate the Air Pump. I must have had my hood open a dozen times since I bought the car new in 98 so haven't really studied the engine. It's been really good until this problem turned up. Any ideas where I can get and engine diagram?

      Bingo!You hit it right on the head,pump and valve.Same thing was wrong with my 98 V70R AWD.As far as your pump run verification,look at it this way if it did'nt come when it should you'd get a check engine light right?Or... you can get a wiring diagram and find a way to get 12 volts to the power side of the pump,careful not to short anything.
