Front suspension work. What should I have replaced? 850 1995

I have had a "thunk" in the right front suspension for about 4 weeks(95' 855T). I had the dealer look at it during my 105K service. They indicated that they tightened the top strut support bolt. This did not solve the problem, so I took the vehicle back. Now dealer says that the upper "spring retaining plate" needs replaced.

What, if any, other parts should I have replaced during the maintenance? Vehicle has 107K w/ original struts. Should I go ahead and have struts replaced? Thanks for any thoughts.

On my '95 T5R, when the upper sring bushing gave out on both fronts at 105k, i replaced the mounts struts and springs. I did bilstiens and IPD springs. Also had them check for any other parts that might look worn such as control arms, bushings etc. Might as well do it all while it's apart if it needs it. By the way, the bilstiens are FIRM.

The "thunk" noise happened when going over a bump ? If it is, then it could be upper strut mount (spring retaining plate ?) and the anti-sway bar link (between anti-sway bar and the strut). You should replace both since your car is already more than 100k miles.
