Well I got it! 850 1997

Well, I don't know if you all remember me but I posted a message about a month and a half ago asking advice about purchasing a '97 T5. Long story short, I picked the car up tonite....$10k (US) It's in great shape, came complete with service history (seems to be complete) NOW.....I KNOW there's got to be gremlins associated with this model and surely someone here could inform me as to what to look for? ALL help is greatly appreciated!!! - Kevin

Kevin - Look for good advice, repair instructions, and the best prices you can get on parts - you do not need to look for gremlins, they will find you.

Keep all your fluids in great shape and enjoy the ride.

I hope you have good luck with your new brick.

      Thanks James 850 1997

I'm going to spend a couple of days going thru the service tickets thoroughly, quite a performance jump from our 'grocery getter', I'll be back with questions I'm sure. - Kevin

        Congrats 850 1997

        Kevin,

Best of luck with your new volvo. As James says, "the gremlins will find you if there are any." Other than that it's a lovely car. You'll find this place to be the best for getting help when you needed it.
        Good luck and congrats

'You do not need to look for gremlins, they will find you.' 850 1997

True enough. And once you exterminate any gremlins that you find, more will hatch!

I've NEVER, ever had a car that was both so much fun to drive and so comfortable, yet so annoyingly inreliable!

Good luck, and check out Bay13 for the common problems and their fixes.

            OK, dumb question..... 850 1997

What's 'Bay13'? I already own a 945 and get much of my questions answered about it on that board, is that an area of brickboard I have yet to discover? Thanks again.

These two websites should be in every 850 owner's toolbox. Great cars. Stay on top of it. I haven't had any of major issues with mine but find I must be attentive to all the signals she (definetly female) gives me that somethings not right. Ignore and pay.

I find it more helpful in some aspects than BB! check it out! BTW, I have the same car. Mine is a silver/grey with graphite interior! Check the gallery for some pixs. all the best, Ciao.
