passenger side outside tire wear V70-XC70 1998

Hello, I have a 1998 v70 xc and I am experiencing exessive outside tire wear on the front passenger side. I have had alignment checked and rechecked and it is within specs. I have gone through two sets of tires in a short period. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Take your car to an alignment specialist. I had wear problems on my '94 850T where I was only getting 25K on 40K tires. After 2 sets I went to a local alignment specialist who reduced toe-in to 1/16" I believe and that fixed the wear problem. Previously, the local dealership had done a 4 wheel alignment.

I have the same on my 2000XC.
Tires are going fast!
I think there is more to it than the bushing, but will check.

have your strut top bushings checked. if they are craked, the strut can lean on one side...not enough to see or feel but enough to wear tires.
rotate frequently. keep all tires the same make and tread pattern to prevent damage to angle gear. Dont replace just the one bad tire, replace as a pair with new ones up front at., best to replace all 4...have all suspention components checked and repaired and realign.

Hi,

The Camber has to be exactly 0 degs there can be no variance for this for best wear. You will never get rid of the outside wear completely. So I would recommend you cross-rotate tire often.
