vibration from new rotors 850 1994

I just installed new rotors & pads on the front of a 94 850 sedan. I now feel a slight vibration or pusling when I apply the brakes. This was not there before I did the work. This was my first attempt at brake work, I can use all the help I can get. I did try to follow advice I read here & on Bay 13 to do the job. Thanks for the help, Jim.

I was careful not to over tighten the lug nuts after reading several posts here about that problem. However, I did not have any way of checking the run out on the rotor. I'm wondering if that could be it and if so what to do about it. This is one of the reasons I quit trying to do car repair years ago. I fix one problem and create another! Thanks all for your help & input, Jim.

I was just going to post the same problem. How many miles have you had them on for? What kind did you use? In my case, my front rotors were warped so I replaced them with Zimmerman rotors and Mintex pads and I have had them for around 500 miles. I torqued the wheels to 81 ft. lbs. utilizing the proper sequence and now I feel a slight vibration when braking at 50+ mph. It's much better than it was before but there is still something there. I am thinking that it may be the rears. I did not replace them yet. I think I can feel the vibration in the steering wheel which would point to the fronts again but it's hard to tell. I am thinking about replacing the rears to see if that does it. I drove the car easy for a couple weeks after I did the fronts- perhaps I did not break them in properly. A sticking caliper also came to mind but I don't have any pulling, unusual dust accumulation on one side, etc. Could it be we just got bad rotors?

Jim, I hope you didn't over-tighten the lug nuts.
