SC-900 Help

Hi all...

I knew of the preset EQ function on the SC-900 radio/3 Disc CD Changer can be set to EQ Curve 1 or 2 by holding the radio memory "2" button while powering on the unit. Which setting is better 1 or 2?

There are also a few other modes that I discovered by pressing the other buttons and I have no clue what they do... can any one let some more info on this?

Button 1: Toggles Auto Volume on/off
2: Fix EQ Curve 1/2
3: All LCD graphics go black... a "beep" over all the speakers
Could this be a selft test mode?
4: Displays 2.00 1.02 1.02
5: Market US / EU/ AUS
6: SUB ANTENA OK

Thanks!

WOW, If I only knew

My manual is in french, and for the most part I can get by, but I never looked at the radio part, so who knows if its even in there.

Anyway went to the EQ level, and it was set for a V70, I have a S70. And once I did the custom EQ, what a difference, especially setting different front and rear levels!!

Thanks for calling it to my attention!!

SC-900 Help

I'll preface this by saying that I don't have the SC-900; I have the SC-901. That said, I'm fairly sure that the two EQ presets are for a sedan-optimized EQ curve or a wagon-optimized EQ curve. The sedan curve should be closer to flat frequency response, whereas the wagon curve will boost bass output to compensate for the lack of rear deck speakers. I don't know which curve is which.

I also recall that many of these functions are described in your vehicle owner's manual.

Hope that helps.
