850 Steering Wheel Vibration 850

I have a 96 850. At highway speeds (45 mph +)the steering wheel has a noticeable high frequency vibration. The vibration is more pronounced at the 12:00 postion on the steering wheel than at the 6:00 position. Although it does not "feel" like wheel balance I have had the wheels balanced and there was no noticable change in the vibration. There is barely audible "roar" from the front wheels but I am not sure if it the Pirelli P8000 tire tread or if it is worn front wheel bearings. It has made the sound and has had the vibration for several thoudsand miles with no noticable change. My question is does this sound like front wheel bearings, tire treads on the Pirelli's or could it be a worn CV joint??
Thanks,
GP

Usually if it is speed determining, it is in your tires. It will make a difference if the tires are not perfectly balanced.

The hub assembly will go out on the 850's....I had my replaced shortly after I bought mine....kinda makes a wobbling type sound when you turn the wheel to either side while driving.
