White smoke from exaust.

I have white smoke coming from exaust pipe on my 97 850 T5 wagon. I make only like 17 miles per galon (average from city and haway). What might be wrong? I recently chnged spark plugs, rotor, cup,fuel filter,air filter. My antifreez fluid level stays o.k., the same with oil level. I have 52K on my volvo.Is it O2 sensor (front or rear). I do not want to change something for nothing. They are not cheap.
Please help!

    White smoke is simply moisture in the exhaust system. There are a lot of unanswered questions. Does the smoke remain after significant time of driving? Is the climate very cold where you are? Are you parking in a damp garage? My quess is all is well and not to worry. If however you are in a warm climate, and the smoke persists after full engine warm-up AND you are loosing coolant then you have a serious problem (without explaining) that I have yet to see posted from 850s. Relax...
