me and my wife just bought a 2001 s80 t6.of course all the toys.we did'nt get a mannual with the car yet so i don't know if it has an in dash cd changer,or how to load them if i did.cant someone help me with this? thank you.

    It is indeed the HU801 that has the 4 disc dash changer (and you can add the 10-disc trunk mounted if desired to either radio).

    When you get a moment, log onto Volvo's website and register your car in the Owner's section (you'll need the VIN #). You can then access (download?) the online manual for your car.

    I have a 2001 T6 and it also has the 611 radio. This IS NOT the CD changer. It only accepts 1 disk. My manual states the other model radio also but I do not remember the name but think it was the 8xx? series which has the changer.

    my radio screen will say "cd magazine empty" but will not except any more than one cd at a time. the top of the screen will also say "cd changer" in small little letters. i don't know if this means anything to you guys but in the lower right side of the radio it has this (hu-611) i'm at my wits end with this radio any more info would be great.

      I have been reading the manual and it appears to me that the HU-611 either has a single CD in the dash or the changer in the trunk. The HU-801 has the 4-in-the-dash option, but no tape player.
      My suggestion: check your trunk. I just have the single CD HU-611 and I never have seen any message about a CD magazine in the text display.

    I would think that you've got the in-dash 3 disc player as I believe that they're standard on T6s. If so, you just put one cd in after the other (up to 3) as it won't let you put in another.
