Price advice on a 1998 S70 S70

I am thinking about upgrading my 1994 940 to a 1998 s70. I am looking at a 1998 s70 with leather cold package cd and alloys(no moonroof or power seats). The car has 57,000 miles on it and I have all maintenace records. Oil changed every 5,000 miles, Transmission flushed every 20,000. The 60,000 mile service is upcoming and the car has cooper tires new in sept of '02 and the front brakes and rotors were replaced at 43.000 as well as new rear brakes at 43,000 miles. The seller is asking $9,000. Is this a good price on this car? Thanks This is a non turbo car.

Sounds like a decent price but check out edmunds.com to get a better idea.

FWIW, when I purchased my S70 T5 last year, I checked prices on www.edmunds.com, as well as calling my banker and having them check the NADA BLACK (NOT blue) book (it's updated monthly and dealers and bankers use it for reference on prices, etc).

Over the time I was looking for a used car, I found that Edmunds was always within $300 or less of the black book. I concluded that Edmunds was likely more accurate because it's probably updated more often, as opposed to the printed black book.

      Good luck.
