Good SUV but expensive add-ons. XC90

Hi There, me and the wife we enjoy the 98XC70 here in Chicago and since the family grown we are lookign at the minivan and SUV. So, of couse we wanted to see the XC90. The first look the XC90 looks great, this SUV offer a starting price is easily acceptable. But once you add a few bells and whistles the price list going up fast. We have not look else where for the SUV or minivan. The first impression is not an afforable SUV like people thinks.

As far as people are in demend of the XC90, we stop by one dealer in the Northern Chicago there are a list of 90 plus people already put a deposit on the SUV. I guess the people in Chicago really want them.

Who said it was an affordable SUV? It's in the luxury category, after all, with many features standard including the best safety features of any car. If the 2WD with the small engine is acceptable, you can add 2 major packages -- versatility (incl. 3rd row seats) and premium -- and still be under $38k. That's reasonable, isn't it?

You might want to call around to other volvo dealerships. Some of the dealers have been selling them above sticker due to the high demand. With the freighter accident last month the wait is to be a lot longer. The xc90 has a lot more usable space than its competitors and has what no one else in the industry offers with the roll over system. Have you driven one yet? I got to on a Volvo only ride and drive. Its very nice.

You might want to also look in the DuPont Registry.
