Drive-by-wire throttle systems S70

Sorry, I made a mistake on my computer. My question is: When did Volvo start putting electronic drive-by-wire throttles in the S70? Was it in 2000, or did they wait until the S60 to introduce that technology?

    My 1999 S70T5 has it. It has been replaced twice. Once under warranty and again for $780.00.

      Please elaborate. What was replaced, how much for parts and what was the diagnosis.

      I really don't trust the drive by wire system. It's a car not a jet fighter.
