I need some verification on which socket/module combination is correct for
recording fault codes on the model year's 1993-1995.
In my Haynes manual, it states to "insert the test lead into Socket 1 of Module B". Then in an IPD catalogue, it says to "insert the test lead into Socket 2 of Module A." Which is correct?

It depends on which code your looking for.

Usually the check engine code will be A2. Common one is O2 sensor.
you'll probably get a 435 and maybe a 436.

A1 I believe resets your tranny codes (PNP fault)
