Help! Mystery warning light 850 1993

Recently, I have noticed the appearance and disapearance of one, seemingly new warning light on the dash. It is not labeled anywhere, and as I do not have a manual, cannot look it up myself.

All I can say about it is that it is a small, circular red light located to the right of the thermometer/clock LCD unit. It is not part of the normal warning light cluster, and it comes on irregularly. The light also has no label of any sort. I've been trying to figure out what triggers it, but have not found a link between it and the car's state.

I'm about to do a few repairs on the car, so It'd be nice to know what else is wrong and save some time.

I'll post a followup soon and attach a picture.

This little red lamp indicates near or below freezing conditions,
It's at those temperatures the roads are the most sliperry when
    it's cold outside, normally between -5 & +2 celsius ( approx
    23 & 35 farenheit) There's nothing wrong with your car !!

If your car has a trip computer the light you are refering to indicates freezing conditions outside. The light serves as a reminder that road conditions may include black ice. The light comes on at around 36 degrees and turns off at around 26 degrees. No matter which position the selector switch is in, it overrides that function and displays the outside temperature.

I have the trip computer on my 1993 850GLT.

    Hope this helps you.
