1. Who does Volvo get the stock front struts and rear shocks from?

2. If I wanted to replace them, with other than Volvo stock parts, what would I get (Bilstein or Boge).

3. Yes, my XC has the rear self-leveling shocks (Nivomat by Boge I have been told)

All I need is the type and manufacturer...

1) boge front struts

2) ur preference. boge is oem soft. bilstein tc is pretty close to oem setting. bilstein hd is stiffer

3) yes, boge novimats
