Ineffective wiper on driver's side 850 1994

Recurring problem: driver's side windshield wiper lifts off the glass near the top of it's arc, so driver can't see the road directly ahead. I've tightened the bolts on the arms, replaced the wiper blades, even removed the fairing to check the motor/assembly mounting. All seem fine. Finally I just bent the wiper arm to provide more pressure against the glass, but this seems, um, rather inelegant. Any suggestions?

Ineffective wiper on driver's side- Just Buy A New Arm 850 1994

Just replace the arm for about $34 from Volvoparts.com

After a while the bending no longer helps- I had the same problem.

The new arm is working out great and the price was negligeable.

Inelegance wins. In this case that's exactly what's required. Bay 13 offers the same information.
