Hi all,

I am buying an O2 sensor for my father-in-law's 850 (auto, non-turbo). For the front sensor, there are two listed on FCP Groton's site; one for a car with an Air Pump and one without it. I don't think my father-in-law knows the difference, and therefore a waste of my time asking him. How can I tell if his car has one?

1996 850 has an air pump. As previous post said, if you want to be sure look at Bay13 instructions for replacing air pump to identify parts that indicate you have the pump. Don't bother looking for the pump (under the battery tray, too much trouble), look for the check valve (labeled SAS valve in picture) or the extra air hose from air cleaner.

I have a 96 854 n/a, and I don't think I have an air pump......better look to be sure.

Non turbo-has an airpump.

I have 1998 GLT (light turbo) and there is an air pump.
If you want to check if the car has one go to www.volvospeed.com and look for info on removing the air pump. Pictures will show you where to find the pump (under batter tray).

hm...wonder why FCP has one for cars with air pump or w/o air pump. They are listed for non-turbo cars. Here's the link.
