I am interested in putting front heater elements in the rear seats, has anyone done this ?

back in 97...ipd used to carry ones for the rear...donno if they still do..give a call and ask for part number CG9K3600

If I remember right that was a option on some of the newer 99> Euro models. The buttons go on either side of the rear ash tray, by the 12V power point. I think the plastic rear portion console cover needs to be replaced, switchs added, relays added, and heating elements added to the seat itself.
Chances are the wires are there now.

Another idea would be to seek out places that do aftermarket seat heaters as I know that they're out there. It might be costlier and/or more of a pain than it's worth being that rear seats aren't used often, nor will you or your wife (very important) ever be sitting back there as a passenger. Most kids don't require warm buns and others are lucky to get an occasional free ride IMHO.

I got 2 front heater switches from an 850, and made a wiring harness that attaches to the yellow connector by the ash tray. The next thing I did was get the heater element from a 240. The final step will be to put in relay # 214 under steering column. Total cost less than $150 the cost of one set of heater elements.
