Hey Fellow Brick Lovers, My car fogs up really bad and the inside of my car smells like anti freeze. I think my heater core might be going/gone ? How pricey are they, and is this a job I could do myself?

Can you do it yourself? Yes you can but not unless your a Volvo tech with the right tools, instructions or several years experience, and about a day or so free.
Trust me replacing a leaking heater core on an 850,S70,C70 etc.. is a big job!!
Do not try it yourself, take it to your local Volvo dealer, pay them and retain your sanity.I know this because i am a Volvo tech and have done several of these jobs on S70's it involves removing the entire dash from the vehicle.

Not according to MY volvo tech

The heater core in the 70's is about as easy as it gets for this type of repair. And brickboarders here who've done it concur. (The evaporator on the other hand....)
