Gas Pedal Sticks/Noise when braking 850 1995

I have two problems and I'm wondering if they are related. My gas pedal on my wagon often sticks. Now I sometimes have to press down hard to get it to sort of pop and then press down.

I also have had a problem when braking. It sounds like something under the car moves forward when I brake and it then makes a loud thud. I can almost feel it thudding under my car seat (no it's not a soda can sitting under the seat).

Thanks for any suggestions.

The noise could be an object under your seat. check to see if flooor vent under seat is attached, if not some thing might have gotten into the tube running side to side. It is not always easy to get object out.

The sticky gas pedal is usually caused by a gummed up throttle body. Very common. Throttle body cleaning should correct this. I don't know what the other problem is aside from something rolling around in the trunk. I forgot about a couple of soccer balls in my trunk and they made a noise but it wasn't that loud.

The sticky pedal is from a dirty throttle body that needs cleaning. The noise could be anything and the only way of finding out is by inspecting the front wheels/brakes.
