Hey guys, I have a 94 850 with full power/heated leather drivers seat that is broken in the fully declined back position, Is this an easy fix? looks not to be and if so how much do you think? or is it worth purchasing a used seat from a dismantler? also any good parts links would be appreciated.

The same thing happened to my 94 850. It looked like it would be an easy fix, but of course my lemon of a volvo seat/cable cost over $230. Good luck to you.

the cable in the back of the seat came off. check out volvospeed - bay13 for instrux on how to fix it. it isnt that hard.

thanks francisira, I called the dealer, had the part for $55, used my mechanics disc. to pay just $32, ripped apart teh seat and got it fixed with little unforseen problems, even though the seat was stuck fully reclined so working on it was a real b*tch. Anyway, $32 and 2hrs later, its fixed.

The cable found in the back rest is famous for failing...have the cable replaced by a Volvo Tech.....
