How to fine 'P' position on PNP switch replacement help....... 850

OK,,,, PNP replacement today,, was nightmare... to make a long story short I move the gear lever couple time after disconect the battary cable and reconnect them....

what I need to know is assum that I am all screw up... how would I fine the Park "P" position on the new switch ????
New switch have not been install .. will do it in the morning still have problem reomve the connector I will drill it out tommorow...
thanks for all hepl and support over the years...

How to fine 'P' position on PNP switch replacement help.......

Turn the shaft on the PNP all the way CLOCKWISE to get it into park.

Are you going to drill the electrical connector? Don't drill it!

another idea is to look for reverse...the idea is when its in reverse the lights in the back will light up...don't start the car just turn the key far enough along so that those lights will come on.

check volvospeed.com, and look under maintenance section for FWD
