Manual Climate control - broken plastic damper arm 850 1994

Dear Group:

I am trying to find the part number for the plastic damper arm goes from the motor to the damper. The dealer shows a number of different plastic arms. My climate control is manual and I can hear the motor engaging, but the air flow does not change in recirculation mode.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Robert

Do you know for sure that it is broken? Mine was just dislodged from the shaft. Getting it back on was a bit of a trick, since it doesn't match up w/the motor shaft at either extreme. Had to run the recirc to let it find it's own way back on. Most difficult part is getting your hand in to hold it in place.

Mine replacement arm was also dislodged after using it for a while. The original arm was broken. I am thinking a way to keep it from dislodged in the future. Do you have any suggestion ?

      Thanks,

      Ching-Ho Cheng

You're dealing with an inexperienced parts person as there's only ONE part for that (same whether it's MCC or ECC) and many parts depts stock them as they commonly break. If nothing else, call another dealer.
