Brake Rotor Thickness V70-XC70 2001

G'day All!

Got an easy on for you.........What is the original brake rotor thickness (F and R) on a '01 V70XC?

I'm going to change the pads but I want to know how much I've worn the rotors (% worn between min and original thickness).

I doubt it's much since it's only got 40,000mi freeway driving only and pads are about 70% remaining.

BTW I'm replacing the tyres next week at what will be about 58,500km (close enough to 40,000mi). They were the original Perelli scorpians that I got the car with new...........not bad for such a soft tyre eh?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

The minimum size should be stamped on the rotor. If you take off the
wheel it is on the lip right above the bolt holes. The part
number should be there, too. Mine say "Min 23 MM" and Bay 13 says
to replace at 23.8 mm. (I think that is the number to replace at if
chaning pads with 23 mm being the absolute minimum). New is 26 mm.
These are for s70 brakes. I think some AWDs have larger rotors/brakes
but I'm not sure if they are also thicker.

    Bay 13 is: http://www.volvospeed.com/bay13.htm

Go to volvospeed.com, the minimum thickness for your rotors might be there, plus a lot of great repair instructions.

If you ask there I;m sure you will get an answer.

Our tires do not last as long as yours because we have to go around corners ;)
