Help! my turbo won't start! C70 1998

Could someone please help! I have a C70 5 speed and it will not start. I tried jumping it and compression starting it to no avail. The digital displays blink. I must either have it towed 100 miles to a dealer or try and new battery myself. Any thoughts? Yes it's the original battery.

Help! my engine won't start! No crank? C70 1998

If it's a dead battery and yes, a dead battery can be internally shorted so that even with a jump, it still won't start....try another battery known to be good first even if that means a trip to Walmart. That'd be cheaper than a 100 mile towing bill IF that's all that's wrong.

Hi Jordon,

Just for the heck of it take a look in the cells to see if
they are out of water. I just caught my battery [ 45 months ]
as I almost let them dry to the bottom. Feels stronger now.

I hear it can be very bad if the cells
dry up. I think most of us should check our battery water
more often. Did not realize how important it is.

If they are dry don't add distilled water till you talk to a pro.

Of course take safety precautions when checking the battery.
