Tell me if this sounds wrong S70

Ok the problem is that I have no idea what is wrong or if anything is wrong at all. My steering wheel is slightly off center, but is noticeable. It is in the position it would be in like a gradual lane change to the left. It isnt very much, but I notice it and I am paranoid about it. I'll be driving completly straight, say on the highway, and the steering wheel is in the weird position. The isnt any play in the wheel or anything like that, and its responsive in either direction still, its just off center. Its been like that since I got the car a very short time ago, but I have just now realized it. I know its been like it the whole time because after turning left, even turing test drive, I would have to turn the blinker off.
Does this sould like a problem at all. Is there anything I should check? I dont know if I'm leaving anything out, but tell me if you need any more info to tell me if anything is wrong.

Mine's been that way since 1998, and I have 80,000 miles on it now. The only downside is that I have to manually cancel the turn signal occasionally. I have such good tire wear that I am afraid of having the tie rods adjusted to fix the problem.

    Regards,

Well Cincykid, if the car is under warranty, you can have the dealer realign the front steering by resetting the tie-rods. You should be able to go down a road with your hands off the wheel, about 20-25mph, and not have it pull one way or the other. If it does, the front end is out of alignment. If you have any faith in the dealership let them do it. (If they don't do it themselves, they may farm it out). If you would rather have it done by an outside firm, and you are in the Cinci area, call "Performance Alignment" out on Grooms
Rd. in Blueash. They are good, and prices are not bad. They have done all our cars for the past 12 yrs or so.

    Regards Sam in Cinci.

Most roads are "crowned," in order to allow rainwater to wash to the gutters at the curb. As a result, your car will naturally veer towards the curb. To keep a car with proper alignment in your lane, you will have to have a slight left-turn steer.

Try going on an interstate highway (where the opposite directions are separated by a grass median) and drive in the passing lane. You should experience the opposite phenomenon.

      i know S70

I'll be driving in the far left lane and still have the left turn steer. But i can also take my hands off the wheel and go straight, but the wheel just stays turned to the left a little.

The steering wheel being off center is no big deal in itself and the tie-rod ends can be marked and both moved slightly in the same direction to center the wheel w/o doing an actual alignment.
On the other hand, if there's unusual tire wear and/or the steering pulls or drifts in either direction when not holding the wheel, then a 4 wheel alignment should be performed and with that, the steering wheel should be perfectly centered.
