Possible Tire Sizes for 17' 850 wheels 850 1995

Stock is 205/45/17 (T-5R package).

I was wondering if the 215/40/17s will also fit, and if there are any rubbing issues? or even a 215/45?

What are your experiences? Thanks.

-J

I use 215/45-15 on my stock T-5r wheels. They wont rub if you take off the plastic nuts that hold the inner fender plastic to the car. You have to grind/drill out the studs and then just Pop rivet them. It is simpler them it sounds. Takes about an hour to do all four. The 215/45's give a noticibly better ride than the stock 205 garbage rings. I also have the TME lowering springs and still no rub. The only time it hits is full lock when going over a speed bump. Which is never. I just tested it. Good Luck, and remember to always torque your lugs to 84ftlbs in the right pattern.

Jeff- what size rim r u using? I'll assume it's a stock rim, so try to stick with 205/45. If it's a non-oem rim(and you have the right offset and width), then don't use wider than 215/45/17. Note you MAY experience rubbing with stock or non-stock size cause of the design in the wheel-well. I run 215/45(on 17x8s) and I rub SOMETIMES. But it's so infrequent, that I live with it; but when I change out, i'm going back to 205/45 or 205/50. check out discounttires.com or tirerack.com
