Changing Spark Plugs S80 1999

I replaced the spark plugs on my S80 T-6. What a job! It took me at least 3 1/2 hours. I spent at least an hour just using electrical tape to wrap around all the wires that had the original plastic ducting disintergrate upon touch! I also found a metal collar floating around in the flexible tube between the air filter box and the intake duct. I have no idea where it belongs. If anybody has an idea, please let me know. It is about 1/2 inch wide and 3 inches in diameter. I have it on my desk for now! Just out of curiosity, how much would a dealer charge for spark plug replacement?

Thanks Larry, one more question. That metal collar, I am assuming it goes on the side of the duct that attaches to the air filter box? Thanks..

The first time with the T-6 plugs is always a revelation. The metal collar goes inside the duct at the joint to prevent it from collapsing when the clamp is tightened on the outer duct. Warm up the duct gently to get it back inside. Dealers are stocking a "better plastic" replacement for the original wire looms.
