CD Problems 850 1996

I have recently "burned" some CD's using my computer and they will not play in the single play 815 sound system as fited to my car. They will go in and immediately are ejected again. The same "burned" discs will play in my computer, my home CD player, my portable CD player and my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee but not my Volvo. Commercially produced discs will play fine.
Any one got any ideas?

    CD Problems 850 1996

I had the same problem with my 98 S70 and my SC-816. What I found was that the brand of CD is important. I have been using TDK CDR's (not CDA's) and have had no problems at all. I tried HP cdr's and a couple of noname brands and had problems. I heard that using CDA's (the blank audio CD's) is also a solution...but since TDK CDR's work, why pay the extra money to the recording industry?

Are you using a good blank CD? Seems to me the problems I've heard like this are sometimes cured with a brand name change. I have an 815 in mine and I play burned CD's all of the time.

I am using the Phillips CD RW at 8x. I searched the archives and found that by trying the CD over and over again I could make it stay in and play (sometimes as many as 15 times) however it stills skips and fades out. I will try the TDK discs and see if that helps, they make both data and music at my local store, I assume you need the music version (which is cheaper)or do you need to pay more for the data?.
