S70 Dash Pad Screws

I've got the classic passenger corner dash creak. It’s not the hard plastic trim piece touching the windshield. I’d like to check the screws under the speaker grill for tightness. How do you safely remove the speaker grill on the passenger side upper dash? I don’t want to break the grill. Are there any tricks, or do I just hook it out? Thanks.
