Flashing: Up arrow & CEL/ AC & Recirc. 850 1994

I have 102k miles and started my car on a 55 degree morning to flasing lights on the AC and Recirculating switches. They lasted for roughly 20 seconds (has NOT returned), quit and upon using the AC since then (twice significantyly) I have noticed a considerable rise in the temp of max cool, ie. with turned themo's to straight bottom.
The second time using the AC was my trip to Napa yesterday with a few out of towners. It was about 95 degrees and after gettting off of the highway and continuing on city streets with AC and four people in the car, the flash up arrow with a CEL came on upon acclerating offa stop light. I pulled over immediatley and not remembering how to pull a code I pulled the battery term off for 15 mins. Used the Ac later, drove like I had miss Daisy and the lights have not returned.

I am about to rough house to see if I can get a light so I can now pull the codes and would like to know if these could be related, any ideas on diagnosis, things to check, Heat/passenger load related? You guys have definitley helped me time and saved me much dollars so all I ask is one more thing ;) Thanks a lot -Stu.

You don't neccessarily have to have a CEL light to pull codes. Check and you'll likely find something. I learned this with mine when out of curiosity I checked for codes (w/no light) and found a 4-3-5 (front O2 sensor) which did eventually trip the CEL.

Came up with a 325 after a few short bursts on the freeway with the AC on and off. It is idling a bit rough and rich, think I will have the vacuum hoses checked or replaced along with thermostat. Would these two lights be related? Anything else I can check while I wait for the next light/code? thanks for quick response. -Stu.
