Vibration at idle and speed in a 2002 v70 XC V70-XC70

I have just purchased a new 2002 V70 Cross Country and am experiencing vibration through the steering wheel, gas peddle and seats. I can feel some vibration at idle and it gets more pronounced as my speed increases.
I purchased the car at Farrell Volvo Southborough MA and they told me this is the normal feel of the vehicle. They balanced the tires and I still feel the vibration. I do not remember feeling this vibration during the test-drive.

Has any one experienced this same vibration? Is it common or should I push the dealer to look into it further.

Ask the dealer to check the drive shaft for alignment and have it balanced.
They use different length bolts to balance the drive shaft. I had a similar problem with a 2000 V70 XC AWD. Should be similar on the 2002.
    Good luck.

If you are feeling the vibration at idle, I'd have a hard time believing it has anything to do with the tires...

This individual also had a similar vibration problem with her '02 XC and the dealer finally caved in and replaced her stock Scorpians with a different tire brand.
