Suspension Upgrade - skid plate? camber kit? 850

Gonna buy shocks and springs for my car real soon. I searched and found all the info I need...except

What should I get along with the suspension and change out at this time to save on labor frustration and charges.

Here's my list so far:

- Bilstein HD Shocks
- B+G Springs (1.6" drop)
- Shock mounts (should I go Polyurethane and deal with the noise????)

1. I might pick up a skid plate down the road, but do I need it with a 1.6" drop?

2. Also, do I need a camber kit?

3. Can I do the install myself. I've done it on my Integra (double wishbone susp.), but is it fairly simple on this car? I have access to a spring compressor.

I've got Bilstein HD struts/shocks on stock springs and Polyurethane bushings. Road noise with poly bushings is noticable, but well worth the added feel of one's suspension. Like the Bilsteins, I got used to it and hardly think about it now. Poly bushings and rear shocks can be installed by a shade-tree mechanic, you may need professional help/advise/work on the front struts.

Skid plate is definitely recommended. A $100.00-$200.00 investment on a skid plate justifies the cost of replacing a damaged aluminum oil pan, worth around $800.00 I hear. As far as I know, you have two options, iPd or SPG9, the latter costing half as much as the former.

I'd leave the camber alone and just stick with the shocks, springs and bushings. Later, you can upgrade your anti-sway bars and pick up a strut brace. Then, if you still aren't satisfied, upgrade your tires and wheels with high performance products, I'd still leave the camber alone.

when you are doing the drop on your car, I wouls suggest doing a four wheel alignment after you install the new suspension, this can be done at any alignment shop, so just look around for somewhere that will do the job right.
