12+ Power for CD Changer Adapter V70-XC70

I have a 1998 V70 and little experience fooling around behind the dashboard.

I have a device that I can plug into the CD changer plug on back of my head unit that will transform it into RCA connectors so I can plug in my Apple iPod (it's an mp3 player) and listen to it though the radio . The device came with a yellow wire I'm supposted to attach to +12 (that's the power I'm assuming). The radio pops out easily enough and I see where I connect the plug for the CD changer but what do I connect the yellow wire to?

Thanks in advance.

12+ Power for CD Changer Adapter C70 1999

I've been looking into this of late and have found a couple adapters for the SC-901 stereo in my '99 C70. However, these adapters seem to only allow me to hook up an Alpine CD changer to them; you found something with RCA outs? May I ask where/what you found?

Thanks,
-Jon

This page has the pin-outs for the radio. Using it, you
should be able to determine the correct wire to tap into.
I see it as wire 4 on connector B (but I would double-check
it with a volt meter):

Thanks for the diagram, I think 4A is +12V. Do I have to solder the wire here or is there some type of clip I should use?

Terminals 4A and 12A are both battery positive. Wire color is green with a brown stripe.
This wire is "live" at all times, even with the ignition key off and removed.
If you prefer a +12V source that is only active with the key on, use terminal A13; wire color, depending on your radio, is yellow with a violet stripe or yellow with a black stripe.

If in the US, you can but plastic "taps" at Home Depot or the Radio Shack that only require pliers to make the connection. No wires need to be cut. Internal blades pierce the insulation to make the connection.

I'm off to Radio Shack tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

You can also strip back a bit of insulation and wrap the new wire
around the exposed wire then tape it with electrical tape.
