A/C intemittent problem/Schrader Valve? V70-XC70

Folks, (trying my luck in again on the V forum)
I'd appreciate if you could help me pin down the following problem. (S70 T5 1998) AC starts blowing warm air in hot weather > 100F. Dealer replaced Schrader valve, added refigerant. Problem reoccured after two weeks. Dealer added dye and claims possible evaporator leak. Thanks for your input, -J

    Well, could be the evaporator. The dye test should be definitive. My '98 V70 had a bad hose that runs under the radiator from the condensor to the compressor. Make sure that doesn't flouresce and look oily, since it is a lot cheaper to replace that hose than the evaporator.
