Oil & transmission fluid question S70 1998

I believe my car has a rear main seal leak. I am getting this fixed and I was wondering if the oil is drained and then re-used or do they automatically put new stuff in. Will the transmission fluid be tampered with aswell?

    There is no need to drain the engine or trans to do a rear main. A small amount of trans fluid may be spilled during r+r, but it is minimal. The engine oil level is well below the crankshaft. When the seal is removed, only a few residual drops are present.
