Update on Check Engine Light problem (S80)

I took my new S80 into the dealer today after receiving a check engine light warning over the weekend ... with 400 or so miles on the car. The dealer said the computer returned the code for an "intermittent misfire. " They checked the plugs and system and no problems there. The car runs great, and they could find no other problems anywhere. The service tech did ask me if I had run the car on low fuel, but I had plenty. Any thoughts on this code: intermittent misfire? Thanks

There is no intermit. misfire code. There is a misfire cylander X ECM-33X0 and it can be an intermittent code, meaning it happened once. If you didn't feel it, and it only happened once, it's nothing to worry about. We've seen them doing PDIs at work, supposedly it's from the engine not being broken in yet. Eneven compression on one stroke can cause the light to come on.
We had one yesterday with about 38K on it, it had a bad coil and kept misfiring. There is a descrepency in VADIS about which cylander it is, so we replaced them all per Volvo Hotline.
Anyway, enjoy the car. Keep it under 75, watch the speedo because you'll feel like you;re doing 55!

Update on Check Engine Light problem (S80)

Forgot to mention, I was working in our Saab service dept a feww weeks ago covering for someone, and they had a 9.5 with less than 500 miles with a code for an evap leak. Turned out the leak was not the filler cap, the tank was cracked! Then i found out it's a common problem in those cars! We say Saabs are made in the inbred part of sweeden, and I now believe it's true!
