With the leaking heater core/heater control valve
problem is it something relatively easy for the dealer
to fix? How long?

I hear you don't have to remove dash to do
this type of job. Tech can do work from underneath.

There's no control valve but I'd guess the heater core labor will run about 2-3 hours book time w/o checking a flat rate labor time guide.
