First Volvo - cd changer/fog lights S60 2002

I just (the car's being delivered next week 9/7) got an S60 AWD. This is my 1st Volvo.

I would like to add a CD changer in the trunk. I would also like to add foglights in those little black round cut-outs in the front spoiler.

How can I find a good deal on a O.E.M. Volvo CD changer and OEM foglights?

thanks.

If you are using the volvo original radio HU-611 or HU-803, then you need the volvo original 10-disk CD-changer (accessory). Note that these units are not made by Alpine and will not work with HU-611 or HU-803 head units.

The tricky thing is that I am not sure the 10-disk CD-changer can be fitted in the trunk in S60's, it might be better to ask your local dealer and have a look in their accessory catalouge. If its possible to install it is depeinding on the vehicle type and if the navi system installed.

If CD-changer is not possible to fit, then why not try the built-in CD-changer in the Volvo original radio HU-803 ?? its only 4 discs but its better than just one in HU-611.

My personal opinion is that front foglights are rarely used and not give that much value (and light) for the money. Save your money for other accessories!

Thanks for the input Specialist and others! I have the one disc HU-613 unit in my S60 now. Is there a O.E.M. catalogue on the web? Can I find a HU-803 on-line?

I also have a 2002 S60 AWD. I had the fog lights added at the dealer. It wasn't cheap (about $500). One important thing to remember. The 2002 uses a different configuation with the fog lights and gas tank door release switches. On the 2002, you need to order a separate switch to accomodate the fog lights.

Only place to get the OEM fogs is Volvo. In the S60, they're easy to install yourself and aren't overpriced. But you will need to have the dealer add software to turn them on...you probably won't be able to operate them without the headlights also on if they use US/CAN software.

Got my changers (for both my 850 & S70) at discountcarstereo.com

They've got a nice little Alpine bolt on kit that utilizes the exisiting control unit in the Alpine head you've got.

I think I paid like $320 or something for it and I mounted it under the dash (in the S70 - in the 850 I threw it in the glove box).

I've been happy with it.

Good luck.
