Climate control...controls really hot S70 1998

I was wondering if anyone else has their climate control faceplace get really hot , no matter what. I recently replaced the heater core and I'm wondering if I missed hooking up a vent pipe. It hasn't melted yet but ive only had the car two months.

thanks for any reply's. tim

Turn your instrument illumination down a bit. I noticed it helped a lot on mine. I like to turn down the instrument lighting anyway since it is usually too bright for my taste. As a side effect you will also prolong the life of those hard-to-get-to light bulbs that tend to go if on full brightness all the time.

    Good luck.

I've pulled my radio in my 98 S70 and notivced it runs very hot.
If you leave the radio off does it seem cooler (or pull it out and
check since the darn thing comes out so easily).
