car bucking and question on trim 850 1994

I'm having a problem with my car bucking at the 25-35 mph range while my foot is on the gas pedal. I've been able to stop it from happening by putting my car into overdrive. This has been coming and going and the weirdest thing is that it only happens at night, have had no problem with the car during the day. Any ideas?

The other question i had pertains to the black trim on the side of the car. Does anyone know how that stuff looks painted the color of the car or if there is a better looking alternative? thanks

... question on trim 850 1994

If you paint your trim body color, it looks like the body.

What color is your car? You should consider painting the trim another shade in that family of colors, or in some color that contrasts with the body color. Contrast looks good, consider the early Cross Countrys in white with black trim.

Volvo's new special Cross Country is Deep metallic blue with silver trim. When they put it in the showroom, one of the service writers said that it looks like my car.

We have a teal 855 with beige trim. I brush painted it with rustoleum almost a year ago and the only scratches are on the top of the rear bumper where some things were loaded. A big plus is that you do not have to worry about waxing the trim.

I had planned to have a shop paint my trim, but the best shop that I know around here declined. The owner told me that the "hot" solvents in the paint would cause the paint to peel after a few months.

Select 700 model in the gallery, and look for "Evander in his winter plumage" near the bottom of page 2 to see some contrast.

Question on trim 850 1994

I have painted trim on my past three vehicles and I think it looks sharp. I don't however have my trim painted on mine because my 854 is charcaol grey. One issue was cracking. I had a metallic green Accord on which the painted trim held up for twice as long as the two white cars I had. I am not sure if the correlation was the metallic flake or just white aftermkt. paint, you might ask. My Auto Body charged me $225 for all jobs. Stu.

The bucking sounds like the PNP switch is going. Go to volvospeed.com >maintainence & repairs>Bay 13 for more info (or do a search)

Not quite sure what you REALLY want to know about painting your trim. It's a very subjective issue.
