losing water please help!!! - part 2 850

Go to Pep Boys and buy a fluorecent leak detector with U/V light for about $50.

This will isolate the location of the leak.

Have you recently had the thermostat replaced? If so , did they install the rubber gasket appropriately?

      losing water please help!!! - part 2 V70-XC70 1999

I have developed exactly the same problem -- my '99 V70AWD is clearly losing water (a big swatch of it appears on our driveway whenever we back out of the garage).

The low-coolant light was on so we took it to the dealer this week, and they ran an extensive pressure test on the cooling system but found nothing. The car is STILL leaking water from somewhere though (though only while in motion -- there's no puddling while it's parked).

      Help!
