Alarm Wont Reset......PLEASE HELP ! ! ! 1987 855 850

Somebody please help me. This morning my key fob would not open the doors, so I used the key. The alarm went off, so I rang the dealer (who is miles away) and he said to pull fuse number 6 and the car could be driven, but I would have no central locking. Can anyone tell me how to disconnect the alarm so I can replace the fuse and get the central locking working on the short term until I can get to the dealer??

Thanks in advance.

Pat

Technically, you program the car from the fob, not the fob from the car. The alarm should work if you get in, close the doors, and reset the ign sq. That should do the alarm. With new batteries in the fob, turn the ign sw to "on" and "off" 4 times, and the fifth, leave it on, and press the "lock" button. SHould take care of it...

      Hi
Yes. I tried new batteries in the fobs (both of them) and also the "reset" with the ignition key (4 times on and off and leaving it on the fifth time with all doors etc. closed) I will probably have to call to the dealer and pay 12 months of his mortgage repayments to have it looked at. Thanks folks for your efforts at helping me out.

      Regards
