How often should you change your pollen filter?

I prefer to err on the cautiuos side and do it more
if will fend off possible climate control problems.

    15,000 or 1 yr sounds reasonable unless you drive in dirty/dusty areas a lot.

    Also keep in mind that when operating in recirc mode, the filter is bypassed, so should last longer. For 90% of the air-conditioning season, I leave mine in recirc.

      Just did it and took 10 minutes. Old pollen filter
      was filled with trigs, leaf fragments, etc and was
      dark gray in color.

      Had about 10K on it.

      What can a clogged pollen filter do to your system?

        Reduced airflow, ineffective defrost, added load to blower motor, howling noise at high blower speeds when it gets REAL dirty.
