Sounds like a diesel / no reverse lights S70

My '98 S70 T5 sounds like a diesel at idle. Sound disappears when the clutch is engaged -- is this a throwout bearing? Cost to fix?

Also have no reverse lights. Bulbs are OK. My guess is there's a switch somewhere on the linkage that bit the dust -- anyone have any experience with this one?

Thanks

Sounds like a diesel / no reverse lights 850 1995

I have the similar problem with my Ford Escort (176k miles) for 2 years. Clutch engages/disengages fine (no extra or heavy pedal). Something is rattling when shifts to neutral and mine happens 98% when the car is at operating temperature. In the morning, when the car is first started, the rattling is not there.

    Thanks,
