I'm having some strange electrical problems with my car. When the engine is running, the power mirrors don't work, the turn signals don't work, and probably much more! But when the key is in position 2 and the engine isn't running they all work fine? Any clues on how to fix this problem or to why it is doing that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    There are instructions for replacing the electrical portion of your ignition switch in Bay 13 at Volvospeed.

    These instructions even give tips on how to identify if this is your problem or not.

    It sounds like the key/switch needs to be replaced, one of the contacts is not working.
