Can new wheel bearing change ride and handling? V70-XC70 1998

I just had new front wheel bearings installed last week to solve a humming noise/vibration problem and now that the noise is gone, the ride is noticably more harsh. It seems that every little road bump shakes the whole car. The car may not be as responsive handling wise either.Anyone else experienced this?

I would first check the air pressure, particularly in the front tires. Your serviceperson may have thought they were doing you a favor by increasing the pressure.
Were the front struts or shock cartriges changed as well?
